Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Celebrant?
A Celebrant is someone professionally educated who can create, in collaboration with the client, personalized ceremonies for all people, no matter what their beliefs may be.

How is a Celebrant ceremony different?
A Celebrant ceremony represents your values, beliefs and story using symbols, rituals, music, readings or other elements to enhance the ceremony making it what you envision to pay tribute to any occasion.

What kinds of ceremonies do you perform?
Weddings, funerals, baby welcoming, adoption, retirement, house blessings, divorce ceremonies, coming of age, pet memorials and others. Ceremonies for community and corporate events are often requested.

What is the process?
You contact me. We meet to see if we are a good fit. If so, we sign an agreement and settle on a fee. I ask you questions or send you a questionnaire to get to know you and what your wishes are. I create the ceremony and send it to you for your review. You let me know if it meets your expectations. There is more time for this to occur when the ceremony is a wedding, less time if the ceremony is a funeral. You have complete access to me from time of agreement until the ceremony is held. I will mail to you a keepsake copy of the ceremony within two weeks after the ceremony.

Who are your clients?

What about fees?
My fees always reflect the thoughtfulness and care that goes into creating and performing your ceremony that fits your needs. My professional education and experience will shine through your ceremony. I will discuss my fee with you when we first talk.
